Loras College was founded in 1839, by Bishop Mathias Loras and is Iowa’s first college. It is one of nine diocesan colleges in the United States. It is located on the bluffs of the Mississippi River and overlooks the states of Wisconsin, Illinois, and Iowa. Loras offers over 40 majors and 13 pre-professional programs.
