Albert Haase, OFM: “Ordained a Franciscan priest in 1983, Albert Haase, OFM, is a popular preacher, teacher, spiritual director and radio personality. A former missionary to mainland China for over eleven years, he is the author of eight books on popular spirituality. He trains spiritual directors in the diocese of Springfield, IL. He is also the co-host of Spirit and Life, a radio show heard every weekend on the Relevant Radio Network.”

G. K. Chesterton Society: “The American Chesterton Society (ACS), founded in 1996, works to promote interest in G.K. Chesterton (1874-1936), one of the 20th century’s greatest writers. A convert to the Catholic Church, Chesterton wrote over a hundred books during his lifetime (including  The Everlasting Man) and published over five thousand essays in newspapers and magazines.”

Thomas Keating, O.C.S.O.: Father Keating, author of Open Mind, Open Heart and other classics of the spiritual life, focuses on contemplative prayer and lectio divina. “The intent of Contemplative Outreach is to foster the process of transformation in Christ in one another through the practice of Centering Prayer.”

James Martin, S.J.: This website focuses on Ignatian spirituality, including the daily exam, the spiritual exercises, retreats, and prayer.

Henri Nouwen Society: “The purpose of the Henri Nouwen Society is to foster the spirituality of solitude, community and compassion that was embodied in the life and teaching of Henri Nouwen.” The site includes online book discussions, retreats, and daily meditations.

Richard Rohr, O.F.M.: Rohr began The Center for Action and Contemplation, which “seeks to empower individuals to live out their sacred soul tasks in service to the world through educational programs and resources,” including online programs and daily meditations.

Ronald Rolheiser, O.M.I.: Popular author and speaker, Ronald Rolheiser (author of The Holy Longing) posts his columns, reflections, and videos.

Joyce Rupp: “Joyce Rupps is well known for her work as a writer, a spiritual ‘midwife,’ and retreat and conference speaker.” She is a member of the Servites (Servants of Mary) and her website offers her books, reflections, videos, and commentaries.

Robert J. Wicks: “Dr. Wicks has published over 50 books including Overcoming Secondary Stress in Medical and Nursing Practice and The Resilient Clinician for professionals and Bounce: Living the Resilient Life for the general public (all from Oxford Press).  Two of his most widely-read books are Riding the Dragon: 10 Lessons for Inner Strength in Challenging Times and Everyday Simplicity (both from Sorin Books).”

 Macrina Wiederkehr, O.S.B.: “Wiederkehr is a master of everyday spirituality. She has taken the Benedictine tradition of Lectio Divina (divine reading) and expanded it into new fields of wonder. To her, sacred texts are all around us. She discerns evidence of God’s presence in nature, relationships, and the daily rounds of life.”
