The Archdiocesan Mission Statement: Share Jesus Love
“Jesus Love,” often referred to as agape love, seeks only the benefit of another. It is the total gift of self, modeled by the three persons of the Trinity. Within our mission statement, the name of Jesus is an adjective that describes God’s love which we are called to share.
In the Gospel, Jesus provides us with the Greatest Commandment, to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength” and to “love your neighbor as yourself.”
Jesus also tells us that by loving our neighbor “all will know that you are my disciples…”
May we in the Archdiocese of Dubuque “Share Jesus Love” with all whom we encounter (especially the poor, the marginalized, the down-and-out, and those who hurt others because of their own past hurts) to build the kingdom of God through true Christian discipleship.
How do you Share Jesus Love?
